Maria, darling Maria

Are you sure you're 50? Doesn't seem like this is. Many more years of wisdom, many roads you've taken and canvassed to help others, to improve the state of things. Your tireless (well, you get tired but that doesn't stop you) efforts on behalf of children, parents, Laurel Hill Nursery School, Hand In Hand Parenting. Excellent organizations that are strengthened by your excellence..

You act without "what about me?" You do for others. You really could be more selfish. Really, but oh well. Here's to you. We all admire you. Of course, everyone, the line begins behind me. One more thing: If you had let me "lose" the bear suit earlier, we would have saved $400. Morality has a cost ($400) but you, as you do, choose the fairest course.

You sort of shot down any larger plans but did allow for some. Your wonderful staff got for you a cool, cool mixer.

Your wonderful husband sang you the entire score from "Hamilton".  Your wonderful boys cleaned their rooms and made you laugh.  1/3.  The world stress could drive you loco. No loco, opt for TrabOcco. So we go. Here is there.  Thank you Kathy and Bob, Meredyth, P, and Bobby for coming along. It's a restaurant we've walked by a hundred times in the South Shore shopping area.  And it's truly a nice place to dine, and feel welcome, and nourished. They asked if the occasion was an event, and the chef/owner made a point (with everyone really) to stop by with personalized birthday wishes for Maria.  A good amount of veggie options so I was equally fulfilled. Had a delicious Sazerac too.

Thank you everyone for honoring my brave captain and also for the lovely notes and cards.
                                                         Maria, you are incredible.
