When we moved in one of the attractions was the big empty lot next door. For a time it functioned as Chempsey Field, home of wind blown whiffle balls and thick tree stumps that prevented any serious running. Yet it was kind of cool except at night when it was kind of empty and spooky. The construction of the Firehouse and Emergency Response Center began several months later and it's finally getting close to the completion of the external structures, at least. Most of the work days have been M-F, 7am-3pm. Other than about a total of two weeks of drilling, shaking and rocking, it's been a tolerable experience...other than those two weeks.
